Christoph Thompson is a professional recording engineer with over 20 years of experience. Originally from Germany he has recorded classical, jazz, and commercial music.

He is also an experienced audio educator. Dr. Thompson is currently the director of the Music Media Production program at Ball State University.

Christoph is an active member of the Audio Engineering society, serving as a Vice Chair of the Audio Education Committee and the director of the Saul Walker Design Competition.

With a background and graduate degrees in Music Theory and Composition Dr. Thompson is a frequent engineer and producer for classical productions where his musicianship and sensibility for artistic needs create organic productions.

Professor Thompson is a strong proponent for equal opportunity and diversity in audio engineering and education and has started several intiatives to carry this idea forward.
