Alarm clock is both an interactive piece and a very functional minimal rhythmic synthesizer. The minimal in this case however only refers the ease of use, because the sonic possibilities are near endless. Alarm clock begins as an ordinary digital alarm clock with the ubiquitous alarm chime that seems to have been the standard accross manufactures. The synthesizer then allows the user to quite drastically change the sonic parameters of the alarm clock. Tempo, regularity, color, duration, distortion and many other parameters can be adjusted in true circuit-bending fashion. This five star rated ensemble was welcomed enthusiatically by the REAKTOR community. This ensemble is available as a contribution to the Reaktor Ensemble Library and can be accessed here.
